If you care about getting the most back when you sell, Arena Club wins: its buyback is a flat 90% of the card’s estimated value, while GameStop Power Packs offers 90% of fair market value and then takes a 6% selling fee, leaving about 84.6%. If you care about the cheapest way in, GameStop wins: packs start at $25, half of Arena Club’s $50 floor.

GameStop’s cut: 90% minus 6%
Every Power Pack reveals exactly one PSA-graded card, and there are eight pack levels, from the $25 Starter up to the $5,000 Neutronium, per a recent Deadspin review. Not every card type has all eight levels. Before you buy, each pack shows the pull percentages for its level, so you can see the odds up front. That’s one of GameStop’s better traits.
The buyback is 90% of the card’s estimated fair market value, and then a 6% selling fee comes off. Here’s the math:
0.90 x 0.94 = 0.846. On a $25 pull valued at $25, that’s $22.50 minus $1.35, or $21.15 back.
You have 7 days to take the offer. Cards sit in the PSA Vault, and you can also list pulls on eBay through PSA or ship a kept card to a US address. Shipping costs $5.99 per order plus a $1.99 per-card withdrawal fee, per the same review. Buyback money lands in a Stripe wallet and takes 2 to 5 days to reach a bank account.
Two things to know. GameStop cites “code-based randomization” and doesn’t run a provably-fair system, so you’re trusting its number generator. And the 4.7-star App Store rating is shaped by a launch-week burst: our listing notes 72 of the 100 most recent reviews were five stars posted July 14 to 17, 2026, and post-launch reviews are split, centering on odds and value. Power Packs is US residents only.
Arena Club’s cut: a flat 90%
Arena Club’s buyback is simpler: 100% of its estimated value for the card, minus a 10% fee. One slab per pack, packs starting at $50, and you have 24 hours after the reveal to take the offer.
0.90 x $50 = $45 on a card Arena Club values at $50. No second fee on top.
One thing to watch: “its estimated value” is Arena Club’s number, not an independent price. Reviewers on both major review platforms say Slab Packs lose money over time, which means estimated values often land under the pack price. Also, Arena Club’s slab packs page currently advertises some limited special series packs with a 100% card EV buyback, which would change the math for those packs, but we couldn’t see the terms without signing in, so treat that as a limited promotion rather than the standard deal.
Arena Club grades in-house, stores cards free in an insured vault, and partners with eBay on Slab Packs. The company was co-founded by Derek Jeter and raised a $10M Series A in 2022. Review sentiment splits by platform: the App Store shows 4.5 stars across 6,601 ratings with praise for the app and support, while Trustpilot sits at 1.7 stars across 37 reviews, about 85% of them one star, mostly from international buyers whose shipping and duties cost more than the card. Arena Club serves a global market, so that duty complaint is a real one for anyone outside the US.
Getting your money out
Both companies pay buybacks to a wallet you withdraw through Stripe. GameStop’s FAQ puts bank arrival at 2 to 5 days, with one App Store reviewer reporting a payout within 24 hours. Arena Club’s wallet is also Stripe-withdrawable; the one wrinkle on record is an August 2026 report of a sale payout still pending after 4 days, against a stated 1 to 3 business days.
On shipping, GameStop’s fees are spelled out: $5.99 per shipment plus $1.99 per card to a US address. Arena Club doesn’t publish its shipping fees the same way, but the Trustpilot record is loud about international shipping and import duties, so non-US buyers should price that in before they rip.
Which one gets your money
Pick Arena Club if the higher buyback rate matters most, and you can live with the $50 floor and the 24-hour clock on sellbacks. Pick GameStop if the $25 entry price and PSA slabs matter more, and accept the 84.6% net on the way out. Both keep a cut on every round. That’s how the business works.
