How to Cash Out on Courtyard: Every Method, Timing, and Fees
How to cash out on Courtyard: the six withdrawal methods, real timing, and the ID check that has to clear before your first withdrawal.

You can cash out on Courtyard six ways: bank transfer (ACH), debit card, PayPal, Venmo, Interac in Canada, or USDC to a crypto wallet. Debit card and Venmo usually land within minutes, and bank transfers take same day to 2 to 3 business days, per Courtyard’s own help center. The part that catches people off guard is not the methods. It is the identity check that has to clear before your first withdrawal.
Every withdrawal method
| Method | Where it lands | Timing, per Courtyard | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bank account (ACH) | US bank account, handled by Coinflow | Same day (within 24 business hours) or 2 to 3 business days | The deposit may show up from “Coinflow” or “AptPay” |
| Debit card | Visa or Mastercard debit, pushed via Coinflow | Usually within minutes | American Express and Discover cannot receive payouts, and some banks block incoming real-time deposits |
| PayPal | The PayPal email you enter | Not stated | A typo sends the payout to the wrong account, and Courtyard says there is no guarantee you can recover it |
| Venmo | The phone number you enter (US users) | Usually within minutes | Wrong number, wrong person’s Venmo. If it shows completed but is missing, confirm the number, then contact support |
| Interac | Email or phone number (Canada) | Not stated | Arrives in CAD, and you use one or the other, not both |
| USDC | Your own crypto wallet on the Polygon network | Not stated | You have to link the wallet first with the “Link wallet” button |
The withdraw screen only shows the methods available for your country and account, so you will not see every option everywhere.
The ID check that comes before everything
You cannot withdraw anything until identity verification clears. Courtyard’s help center says you have to complete identity verification (KYC) before your first withdrawal, and adds that their payments partners may require their own KYC too, and will not send funds until that is approved. So your first cash-out is really two steps: clear the check, then move the money.
This is the theme that keeps showing up in reviews. On Trustpilot, several reviewers from August and September 2026 say their first withdrawal sat in a held state while the ID check went through. The help article does not list which documents you will need, so have a government-issued ID ready before you request your first payout. Do the check early and it never slows you down.
The math: what your cards turn into
Instant buyback runs about 90% of fair-market value, paid as withdrawable USDC, and you have 7 days to accept each offer. Pull a card Courtyard values at $50 and the offer is about $45. That $45 lands in your wallet balance as USDC, and it is what is available to withdraw once the ID check is done.
On fees, Courtyard does not publish a withdrawal fee schedule on the help page we read. One user report cited a 15% withdrawal fee, but a single report is not a policy. If fees matter to you, confirm them with support before you move a large balance.
How to actually do it
- Sell cards back through instant buyback (about 90% of FMV, paid as USDC, 7 days to accept the offer).
- Finish the identity check before you expect money to move. The first withdrawal is where it gets enforced.
- Open the withdraw screen and pick a method. Remember it only shows what your country and account qualify for.
- Type the destination carefully. Courtyard’s own article warns that a wrong PayPal email or Venmo phone number sends your money to someone else.
- If you want USDC, link your wallet first with the “Link wallet” button. It has to support the Polygon network.
