Scores are based on published platform data and user reviews, not a hands-on test. Hands-on test status for each platform is shown on our methodology page.

Packed is a real iPhone app with a real 100% buyback, and its terms page matters more than its app listing. The App Store average is 4.54 stars from 3,597 reviews (checked October 27, 2026), but 71 of the 127 most recent written reviews were 1-star. Read the terms before the marketing.
Four terms that change the math
Packed sells packs of PSA-graded cards through a US-only iPhone app, run by PlayPacked, Inc. Its homepage lists 21 packs across four categories: Pokémon, basketball, baseball and One Piece. The app advertises selling every card back at 100% of fair market value. Under its terms (updated September 28, 2026), four rules reshape what that promise is worth:
- Cards auto-sell after one day. Storage lasts 24 hours, then the card sells back automatically. The vault holds at most 10 cards.
- Deposits can never be withdrawn. Only proceeds from selling cards can be paid out. Money you put in stays in until you rip it into card value.
- User funds aren’t kept separate from company money. The terms say this outright.
- The “minimum item value” shown before you buy is an estimate, not a guarantee.
The math on a 100% buyback
100% of Packed’s valuation is straightforward: a card Packed values at $40 buys back for $40.00. The bite is the one-day clock. You can’t hold a card for a better moment or stack a collection; everything converts to a sale balance within 24 hours unless you ship it. Payouts go by debit, PayPal, Venmo, or Cash App, advertised as about 10 minutes for instant and up to 2 business days for bank, though the terms allow up to two weeks.
The review record
The written reviews skew heavily negative. Of the 127 most recent App Store reviews, 71 were 1-star, and 63 low-star reviews landed in September 2026 alone. The dominant complaint is poor odds and packs that feel like they drain money. Next come failed withdrawals and ID verification checks: about 6 reviewers between July and September 2026 report being unable to withdraw at all. High shipping fees round out the complaints. The positive reviews praise the design and ease of use, which matches our experience score.
One more flag from the listing: several reviewers compare Packed unfavorably with Rips by Triumph, and one shipment was reported cancelled with the card gone from the vault.
How it scores
Our scorecard gives Packed its best mark in value (8.0) for the 100% buyback at its own valuation, cut down by the forced 1-day sell-back. Fairness (1.5) is the weakest: no provably-fair system, odds shown in-app only. Payouts (3.4) balances the fast advertised methods against the withdrawal-failure reports and non-withdrawable deposits. The live scorecard above has the full breakdown.
