Is Underdog Rips Legit? A Giant Brand, a Tiny Track Record

Underdog Rips launched in August 2026 inside the Underdog Sports app. Almost no Rips-specific reviews exist, so company-wide signals carry the weight.

Underdog Rips is real. It lives inside the Underdog Sports app, the cards are sourced, vaulted and shipped by Phygitals, and Underdog is a major licensed US fantasy and sports operator.

But Rips itself launched in late August 2026, so there is almost no feedback on it specifically. Every rating you can find covers Underdog’s whole business, and those signals are mixed at best.

Underdog’s own reputation is the real evidence

The app stores love Underdog’s main business. The Underdog Sports app holds 4.85 stars across 322,821 App Store ratings and 4.63 across 33,801 on Google Play (checked in October 2026). Those are company-wide numbers that mostly reflect daily fantasy and sports betting, not Rips.

The complaint-driven venues tell a harsher story. Underdog Fantasy holds 1.3 stars across 57 Trustpilot reviews. Reading through them, the themes are consistent: injured-player “rescue” rules voiding parlays, withdrawal delays, accounts limited or closed after wins, and sudden identity checks after years of play. The Better Business Bureau gives Underdog an F rating with 565 complaints in three years.

None of that is about Rips. Rips did not exist when most of those reviews were written. But it is the same operator, the same support team and the same compliance apparatus, so it is the best evidence available until Rips builds its own history. Also worth knowing: third parties report that IG Group announced an agreement to acquire Underdog in 2026, so the ownership picture may change.

A regulator has weighed in

In September 2026, North Carolina fined Underdog $175,000 over age and identity checks on its sportsbook, per Covers. That is a regulated-gambling matter, not a pack-ripping one, but it undercuts the idea that a big brand automatically means clean compliance. Rips is not available in Nevada, and it is not available in Canada at all.

The Rips fine print is thin

What Underdog publishes about Rips itself is sparse and partly contradictory. Unkept cards are sold back at fair market value, but no percentage is stated anywhere, and the help center says the auto-sell happens after 3 days while the terms reportedly say 7. The odds are shown per tier on every pack, which is good, but there is no provably-fair system at all.

The earliest Rips-specific reports are not encouraging: reviewers described “50/50” packs that felt rigged, and a promised free Rips pack that was never credited. These are early, thin signals, not a verdict. We will keep watching as more data comes in.

How it scores

Our scorecard reflects the evidence gap. Fairness (2.0) gets credit only for the per-tier odds and the stability default, with no seed scheme. Payouts (4.0) is a default band, since there are no published or reported Rips payout times. Value (4.5) reflects the missing buyback percentage and the forced auto-sell. Experience (5.0) benefits from the established app but is capped for the lack of Rips-specific responsible-play tools. Support (3.0) follows the company-wide signals.
