Is Upper Deck Moments Legit? The $6.99 Pack, Explained
Upper Deck Moments sells $6.99 print-on-demand packs on e-Pack with a guaranteed featured card. There is no buyback and no cash-out, and day-one data is thin.

Upper Deck Moments is a real program from a real company. Upper Deck announced it on October 1, 2026, and sells $6.99 packs on its e-Pack site with a guaranteed featured card inside. There is no buyback and no cash withdrawal, so the pack is a purchase, not an investment.
The $6.99 pack, line by line
Every Moments pack guarantees the featured card for that release. The debut Moment, timed to the start of the 2026-27 NHL season, celebrates Evan Bouchard’s five-point season opener and costs $6.99. Print-on-demand means the card is made after you buy: the release says cards come out shortly after the moment they capture, and prices “start at” $6.99, so later Moments may cost more.
The chase structure is published. A Gold Parallel lands as a bonus card in about one of every ten packs, per Upper Deck’s own social post relayed by SI Collectibles. Serial-numbered parallels are distributed at the end of the sales window: Red numbered to 25, Blue to 10, Black one of one. Select Moments add autograph parallels numbered to five, plus a one-of-one Black autograph.
That is a traditional pack model, not a randomized-value product. You know the featured card before you pay. The unknown is the sales window length and the final print run, neither of which was published for the debut release, so scarcity cannot be checked from outside.
The missing buyback
Here is the part that matters most. Upper Deck Moments has no buyback program and no cash withdrawal. You cannot sell a card back to the company at any percentage.
What exists instead is a resale chain through third parties. You can trade cards peer-to-peer inside e-Pack, transfer them to The Authority for vaulting, grading and listing on its marketplace, or move them to COMC and sell through its marketplace. Sale proceeds land in the Authority wallet under its rules, which we have not read. That is consignment through someone else’s storefront, not a buyback.
Run the numbers on a $6.99 pack. If the featured card resells on a marketplace for $5 after fees, you are out about $2 before shipping the physical card home even enters the picture. The “if” is doing the work there: marketplace prices are set by buyers, not by Upper Deck, so nobody can quote a real return figure at launch.
Shipping and the fine print
Physical fulfillment runs through COMC and The Authority, and rates vary by item location, service speed and address. No fixed per-card fee is published for Moments. e-Pack sales are final: no returns or exchanges once a pack is purchased. Lost or damaged shipments are covered up to the value you declare when you ship.
Registration requires being 18 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction. The launch announcement says Moments will be available to collectors around the world, but no excluded-country list is published.
The track record question
Upper Deck itself is not new. The Upper Deck Company dates to 1988, is headquartered in Carlsbad, California, and holds a BBB A+ accreditation. That is a real backstop behind the program.
Review data on the pack side is thin. There is no Trustpilot profile for UpperDeckEPack.com. The profile for upperdeck.com holds 8 reviews at 2.2 stars and is unclaimed, and at least one of those reviews is about a restaurant, so it tells you almost nothing about the pack program. There is no official e-Pack app on the App Store or Google Play; buying and opening runs in a mobile browser.
There are also no Moments-specific payout or shipping reports yet, because the program launched days ago. That is normal for a launch. It also means the early claims are untested.
How it scores
Our scorecard puts Upper Deck Moments’ fairness at 2.5: chase ratios are stated and the featured card is guaranteed, but there is no provably-fair system and no expected-value figure. Value lands at 4.0 because there is no buyback and resale runs through third parties with their own fees. Payouts sit at 3.0 with no cash-out path to evaluate and no stated shipping times. Experience is 6.0 for a working web platform with trading built in, capped because no responsible-play tools turned up. Support is a neutral 5.0 with no user reports to judge. Those numbers will move as real reports come in.
The full listing with sources is on the Upper Deck Moments listing, with alternatives if you want a pack site with a track record today. You can compare pack sites side by side, read how to verify provably fair pack sites, and see how we score every site. You must be 18 or older.
